Felix Auger-Aliassime keeps on winning!

The 18-year-old from Canada is currently ranked no. 147 and he had to start his run in the ATP250 in Chengdu starting from the qualifications.

In the 2nd round, Felix had a tough task ahead against the seed no.2 Hyeon Chung, but it is now clear that the young Canadian has the potential to upset everyone on tour.

Felix was 1 set and a break up (7-6 4-2) when the South Korean found his way back to break him twice and bring the affair to the 3rd set. Auger-Aliassime didn’t lose faith in his tennis and he managed to immediately break his opponent in the 1st game of the 3rd set before holding all his subsequent service games. That was enough for Felix to win the match 7-6 (2) 5-7 6-4.

After this win, Felix is the first player born in the third millennium to reach a quarter-final in an ATP event.
