Stefanos Tsitsipas is one of the strongest tennis players in the world. However, the Greek sensation has a negative record against the upcoming Spanish star Carlos Alcaraz (0-3). At just 19 years of age, Carlito has already won 2 ATP 1000 Masters events and he is ranked number 6.
When asked to comment about Carlos Alcaraz, Stefanos Tsitsipas says that the Spanish teenager, in a way, reminded his younger version. Stefanos commented:
“He plays very fresh and hungry like he has nothing to lose. It kind of reminds me of my early days when I was introduced to the ATP Tour. I didn’t really know what to expect along the way. I was just playing carelessly, completely free-spirited.”
From his words, it seems as if Stefanos expects that Carlito may have a few bumps ahead when he will have something to lose when he will be a more established tennis player.

At the moment ranked no.5, Stefanos played his last match on the 7th of May when he was overcome by world no.3 Alexander Zverev 6-4 3-6 6-2 in the semifinal in Madrid (draw).
This year Tsitsipas has managed to achieve a compiled 27-9 win-loss record. Tsitsipas clinched 1 title in Monte-Carlo. Stefanos was the runner-up in Rotterdam.

WWWWWWWWLW Ranked no.6 (career-high), Carlos played his last match on the 8th of May when he defeated world no.3 Alexander Zverev 6-3 6-1 in the final in Madrid to win his 5th career title.
Presently, during this year Alcaraz has an overall 28-3 record. Alcaraz clinched 4 titles in 2022 in Rio de Janeiro, in Miami, in Barcelona and in Madrid.
