The American was seeded no.1 to try to win her maiden tournament in Strasbourg, but that didn’t really happen… at all. Sloane crashed out in the first round to world no.1 108 Julia Goerges in a match that lasted 68 minutes. Sloane was broken 3 times without being able to conquer a single break point.
