Stefanos Tsitsipas is not new to coaching violations. On Saturday, during his semifinal against Alexander Zverev, he was hit by yet another warning. After receiving the coaching violations, Stefanos had a chat with the umpire, saying that it is not fair that other players do not receive the same warnings. Stefanos referred to Carlos Alcaraz, his last opponent in Barcelona, who was blatantly coached during their match.
“If we all follow what the regulations say, you should also start giving coaching violations to all the other tennis players. And you know who I am referring to,” said Tsitsipas.
Stefanos ended up losing the match 6-4 3-6 6-2.
