Injured Simona Halep not sure if she will play in Wuhan

The Romanian had a big setback when training in China

Simona Halep is scheduled to get back to competitions on Tuesday in Wuhan, but unfortunately, there are doubts that she will make it.

Seeded no.1, the Romanian revealed that she got injured at her back on Sunday while she was practicing with Petra Kvitova. Simona commented “I don’t know why it happened. It’s been a difficult 24 hours, but I hope to be ready tomorrow.”

If Simona is fit, she will face Dominika Cibulkova in the 2nd round.
