When asked about the opportunity for him to play against Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina said that he would be 100% percent ready for the battle. Alejandro lost a couple of tough matches against Stefanos. Last year in Monte Carlo he had to withdraw when playing against the Greek sensation in the quarters after he lost the first set.
“In Monte-Carlo, maybe it was not my time to win that match,” Davidovich Fokina said. “In Rotterdam, it was so tight. I had my chance to win that match.
I think after this week I’m really prepared to have that battle against him. Because I think my team and me like we own it to have that battle because it will be, for sure, so fun and we will enjoy every moment. Doesn’t matter who wins or loses tomorrow, just enjoying to keep pushing myself to the end.”
