Stefanos Tsitsipas is one step away from defending his title in Monte Carlo after he defeated Alexander Zverev on Saturday in the semifinal. The Greek sensation will face Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the final.
Soon after defeating Alexander Zverev, Stefanos Tsitsipas elaborated on the fact that he likes to learn from his mistakes. Stefanos commented:
“So every day is a challenge. In fact, it never really changes. Even if I do great, I still need to show up on the court tomorrow to prove that I have the capacity to perform and nothing is accidental. That is the motivation for me,” he said.
“You know, it’s obviously a challenging one, which requires lots of practice, lots of repetitive work. But this season I feel like if I learn from my maybe past mistakes and if I reflect on those mistakes and use them with the wisdom inside, I can really make the most out of the season and make it the greatest that I have had,” added Stefanos.

Ranked world no.5, Stefanos achieved a compiled 21-7 match record in 2022. Stefanos is playing in Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters where he managed to beat Fabio Fognini 6-3 6-0, Laslo Djere 7-5 7-61, Diego Sebastian Schwartzman 6-2 6-73 6-4 and Alexander Zverev 6-4 6-2.
Stefanos Tsitsipas will compete against the world no.46 Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the final on Sunday at 2:30 pm on COURT RAINIER III. Their actual record is 2-0 for Tsitsipas.
Tsitsipas was the runner-up in Rotterdam (ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament).
