Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated Diego Sebastian Schwartzman after playing an incredible match in Monte Carlo. The Greek player was leading Diego 6-2 5-2 rather comfortably. However, the Argentine managed to bounce back gloriously to win the set and lead 4-0 in the decider. That was the moment when Stefanos had to find himself and win the following 6 games to conquer the match after playing for more than 2 hours and 40 minutes,
Soon after the encounter, Stefanos had a rather quirky interview when he explained what he had to do to win the match.
“It was extremely close,” Tsitsipas commented. “I was really close in the second set. That was the moment I had a big chance to close it out but Diego is Diego and I had to be Stefanos in the third set.”
