Emma Raducanu is ready to kick start the clay-court season. The British sensation is still trying to find her way in professional tennis after a tentative start in 2022. Nevertheless, Raducanu is still very much excited for the rest of the season to test her chances on clay.
Emma is currently in Prague, where she will play in a Billie Jean King Cup tie against the Czech Republic.
Emma is well aware that she has little experience with playing on clay to comment:
“It would be very motivating to add to my wins against the best players in the world, especially on clay where I have little experience as there aren’t really any clay courts in the UK.
This clay season with the French Open as the highlight will be an interesting challenge but one I am looking forward to.
I think new challenges will always present themselves and you’ll always be resetting goals. Personally, I’m very focused on the improvements I can make in my game and that motivates me a lot.”
After Prague, Raducanu will head to Stuttgart, where she will compete in the prestigious Porsche Tennis Grand Prix event.
