Carlos Alcaraz seems to be set to become an icon in Spain. The 18-year-old captured the attention of his compatriots after winning the Miami Open title. Carlito was impressive not only for his fantastic tennis but also for his behavior and sportsmanship.

Carlito received an unexpected call from the King of Spain Felipe VI who is a tennis fan. Alcaraz commented:

“It’s pretty amazing to get the call from the Spanish king. I was more nervous for that call than the match.

It’s pretty amazing that the Spanish king congratulates you on the hard work that you put every day and your win. It’s something that you never thought you were going to receive, a Spanish king call. It’s amazing.”
