Jannik Sinner didn’t have a great experience in the US. In Indian Wells, Jannik had to cope with a nasty illness that made him withdraw in the 4th round. In Miami, he had to retire in the quarters when facing Francisco Cerundolo because he had painful blisters on his foot making it tricky to move around.
Nevertheless, it’s time for Jannik to focus on the clay-court season. His next step will be to compete in Monte Carlo where Novak Djokovic and Stefanos Tsitsipas are probably the hot favorites after Rafael Nadal withdrew with an injury.
This was Sinner’s statement about his current situation
Wasn’t easy to withdraw in Miami. It’s been a bit of a difficult month with my illness at Indian Wells and now this. I’ve taken the last few days to rest and get some advice on my feet going forward. I hope to be ready for Monte Carlo #forza pic.twitter.com/LSinPWUNcJ
