Alcaraz will always be compared to Nadal according to Roddick

Andy Roddick talks about Alcaraz being always reminded of Rafael Nadal's achievements

Alcaraz Nadal

Carlos Alcaraz is about to face Casper Ruud for the Miami Open title. The young Spaniard is used to be compared with the great Rafael Nadal not only because of his nationality but also because he is extremely precocious like the 21-time slam champion used to be.

Soon after his Miami Open semifinal, Andy Roddick was asked to comment about Alcaraz and his performance compared to the tennis legends. Andy stressed that it is almost inevitable that people compare Carlito to Rafa. He also added that the 18-year-old is still very comfortable in his own skin.

Roddick commented:

“I cant’ imagine anything about Alcaraz on Twitter without someone automatically saying ‘Well Rafa did this and you know ‘Rafa’ did that. We need to let this guy be his own person and he seems comfortable in his own skin. He seems comfortable with the way he plays.”
