Another day, another loss, another sad show from Fabio Fognini.
The Italian was playing against Alexandr Dolgopolov to lose once again his cool. Fognini crashed another racket and he started another comedy against a call. Mohamed Lahyani wasn’t impressed by the Italian to not change the call and according to reports soon after the match he said to the umpire “You come now, I want to see you. Don’t be scared.”… the tone wasn’t very friendly…mafioso’s style again.
The show didn’t end there…
Apparently the Italian refused to release the post-match interview if a journalist from ubitennis.com was attending the press conference.
By the way… sticking to the “real tennis” eventually Dolgopolov won the match 7-5 4-6 6-3 to beat the Italian for the 5th time (out of 5!).
Dolgo will play next against Mad Max Gulbis. Head to head is 1-1. That is a match not to miss.
