Naomi Osaka had an outstanding fortnight after she won the US Open demolishing everyone on her way (with the exception of Aryna Sabalenka).
After this incredible achievement, Naomi goes 12 places up in the rankings to be the new world no.7 (career high).
Simona Halep
The Romanian had a rather disappointing experience at the Flushing Meadows after she lost in the 1st round to Kaia Kanepi. However, last year it wasn’t any better for the world no.1 that also lost in the opener to Maria Sharapova and therefore she lost no points.
Caroline Wozniacki had a similar fate as she lost in the second round at the US Open in both 2017 and 2018. Therefore, The Romanian has still more than 2000pts over the Dane (ranked no.2).
Serena Williams
The American had a fantastic run in New York until her horrible final. However, after reaching the last act of the US Open, Serena went up 10 places in the rankings to be the new world no.16.
