Is Alcaraz the new Nadal? This is what former world no.5 said

Tommy Robredo talks about Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal

Rafael Nadal And Carlos Alcaraz

Carlos Alcaraz is destined to be the next big thing and many love comparing him to his compatriot Rafael Nadal. However, comparing youngsters to tennis legends is often very taxing for the up-and-coming player.

Carlos has a different style than Rafa because he has a game of tennis that is more based on anticipations. In this regard, Carlito is more similar to Roger Federer.

During a recent interview, former world no.5 Tommy Robredo elaborated about the comparison.

During a recent interview with EFE, Tommy commented:

“I don’t know if he will be number one, two, seven, but you can feel he has something more. What we can do is not say it’s the new Rafa Nadal, but the new Alcaraz, and then I think he will catch on.”
