Fognini and Klizan will fight for the title in Munich

Fabio Fognini and Martin Klizan will fight once again in a final after St. Petersburg 2012. At that time it was Klizan to win with a comfortable 6-2 6-3, but this time the Italian seems to be the favorite.

Seeded no.1 Fabio reached this final without dropping a single set beating Brown, Bellucci and now Struff  6-3 6-1 in just 62 minutes. Match Stats

FAbio commented “It was a difficult match. I am happy because I am in the final on my debut here. Tomorrow will be tough as I know Martin very well and he plays really good. Though I have beaten him the past few times, I will have to be careful as a final is a special match.”

Martin had a much more difficult and longer march to this final as he came straight from the qualifications to play 7 matches. Interesting enough one of the easiest was against seed no.2 Tommy Haas in the semifinal as Klizan defeated him 6-3 6-2.

This final will be their 5th match, head to head is 3-1 for Fognini that has won the last 3.
