Djokovic may not play the 1000 ATP Master in Madrid

Terrible news from the Serbian camp.

According to marca.com Novak Djokovic has barely trained in after his exit in Monte-Carlo and his problems to his wrist are still there.

The world no.2 hasn’t arrived yet in Madrid although he has scheduled to arrive on Wednesday and he will have a final test in Monte-Carlo on Sunday to decide if he is going to play in Madrid.

Another factor that may deter Nole from taking a chance to play in Madrid is that he has a very tough draw in Madrid from the very beginning and that may put some more additional stress to his wrist.

In theory Nole could become world no.1 if he wins in Madrid and Rafa doesn’t get to the quarters. This was not really plausible before, now it looks impossible.
