Cahill gives updates about his relationship with Simona Halep

The Australian didn’t like some rumors that were spreading around and he decided to make it public about his working relationship with Simona Halep

Simona Halep had a slightly weird stint in North American.

On the one hand, she was hugely successful after she won the title in Montreal and she was the runner-up in Cincinnati (where she had a championship point). On the other hand, things went bad at the US Open where the world no.1 was brushed away by an excellent Kaia Kanepi in the 1st round.

After New York, some rumors were spreading about Simona Halep parting ways with her coach Darren Cahill.

The statement

Darren had to write a post on Twitter to make it clear that he is still the proud coach of Simona to say

“A quick message to the Simo fans & media in Romania. We have NOT finished our working arrangement. Simona has had an outstanding year & her whole team is really proud of her. There’s plenty more work to be done & we are working hard towards finishing the year strongly #haide.”
