Emma Raducanu had an excellent start to her Indian Wells campaign where she defeated Caroline Garcia in 3 sets 6-1 3-6 6-1.
In the press conference that followed her match, Emma confessed that Andy Murray inspired her. The Brit won his match 1-6 6-2 6-4 against Taro Daniel, showing off his incredible grit.
Emma commented:
“I was actually watching pretty much the whole match before I had to warm up. It was great to see Andy battle through a tough match. He was down but found a way to battle through.
I wanted to watch him and learn from him. He kind of inspired me to dig in when it got tough today.”
