Amanda Anisimova looked like she found the perfect coach after Darren Cahill agreed to partner with her on a full-time basis. However, something weird happened in Indian Wells after Darren all of a sudden decided to part ways with the American player.
According to reports, the Australian coach abruptly quit his job after the first training session with Amanda in Indian Wells. Darren didn’t have anything against Anisimova, but he just said he was burned out and not ready to have a life on the tour. Then, he just left.

Despite this incredible episode, Amanda Anisimova started her campaign in Indian Wells in the best possible way. After winning the prestigious Eisenhower Cup, she won the first match against Emma Navarro 6-2 6-2.
