Novak Djokovic is not vaccinated and therefore he is not supposed to compete in Indian Wells. The Serbian sensation is not in the US at the moment and he is on the “we will miss you” wall in Indian Wells. However, it’s rather surprising to see that Djokovic is in the main draw and he may face either Jordan Thompson and David Goffin in his opening match.
Will Djokovic play in Indian Wells?
It’s not really clear what is going on right now. Novak Djokovic is trying to have an exemption from the CDC to enter the US territory.
The organization of the tournament released the following statement:
“Novak Djokovic is on the tournament entry list, and therefore is placed into the draw today. We are currently in communication with his team; however, it has not been determined if he will participate in the event by getting CDC approval to enter the country.”
