Dayana Yastremska had a rather emotional week in Lyon, where she reached the final. Dayana was in clear distress for the horrible invasion that her country is withstanding against Russia. Eventually, she was happy to be the runner-up in France also to donate her prize money to a foundation in Ukraine.

The organization of the upcoming WTA1000 event in Indian Wells had the great touch of granting a wild card to the Ukrainian player. Initially, that wild card was assigned to Naomi Osaka. However, after Camila Giorgi withdrew from the event, Naomi accessed the main draw without the need of the wild card that was eventually assigned to Dayana.

The draw ceremony (WTA) will take place on Monday.
