Novak Djokovic calls…. Roger Federer answers!

The Swiss was in absolutely “Maestro mode” against world no.41 Radek Stepanek. 88% for st serve points own, 4 breaks (0 conceded) and an interesting 8 points out of 11 at the net.  The Swiss hit 14 winners and took full advantage of Stepanek’s 22 unforced errors.

Federer: I am surprised

Roger commented “I’m a bit surprised how well it went. Then again, it’s hard to serve through the opponent. I was able to get a lot of returns back into play. On clay, when you have the upper hand from the baseline, it’s kind of hard to get out of it.

Next vs. Rosol

Roger will play Lukas Rosol in the next round. Head to head 1-0 for the Maestro.
