Jannik Sinner finally announced on his social media that he parted ways with his coach and mentor, Riccardo Piatti. Jannik and Riccardo enjoyed a special relationship. Jannik left home when he was barely a teenager to join Piatti in Bordighera. Riccardo became a sort of a second father for Sinner, but unfortunately something got broken in the last few months.
Jannik published the following statement on social media:
“After many successful years together, my coaching team and I have decided to part ways. I’d like to thank Riccardo, Dalibor, Claudio, Andrea, Cristian, and Gaia for everything they have done for me from the beginning of my career until now.
Riccardo especially, he taught me many things that will forever remain a part of my tennis. Many special memories were made and I’ll always look back on the time we spent together fondly.”
Jannik is now training in Monte Carlo with Simone Vagnozzi and according to rumours he will be joined by coach Magnus Norman.
