Garcia-Lopez triumphs in Casablanca

Today we have 2 all-Spanish finals. The first one in Casablanca has been won by Guillermo Garcia-Lopez that has defeated his compatriot Marcel Granollers  5-7 6-4 6-3 in a tough 2 hours and 38 minutes match.

After losing the opening set in 65 minutes, Garcia-Lopez was in full control in the last two sets to grab an early 4-1  lead in the 2nd set and win 6-4. In the decider after be 0-2 down he won 5 consecutive games to lead 5-2 and finally grab the decider 6-3.

Granolles at the end of the match complimented his opponent “Guillermo played a good match and he deserved to win”

This is the 3rd title for Guillermo after Kitzbuel in 2009 and Bangkok in 2010. (see details)

Now we wait for the outcome of the second all-Spanish final in Houston between Verdasco and Almagro.
