Some time ago there was this strange rumor about Martina coming back to play doubles.
At a certain point, it seemed as she was about to partner with Roger at the 2012 London Olympics (that didn’t happen). Now Martina is back to doubles, and she has even won a title in Miami partnering with Sabine Lisicki. (see article)
I would not play with Roger
During a recent interview, Martina said “I enjoyed playing Hopman Cup with Roger Federer. He was a great partner; had all the skills. I wouldn’t say no to partnering with him at Wimbledon.”
After her thoughts about not playing with Roger, she Martina also said how happy she is to coach Sabine Lisicki “I really enjoy working with her because she’s someone who has a lot of potential, has a great serve and attitude. I’ve known her since she was ten years old, and we’re going in the same direction”.
Going back to Roger… well, that would be fantastic to see them playing mixed doubles together, what about at the next Olympics?
