Tough luck for Richard Gasquet!
The Frenchman has just broken again in the top10 to probably crash out again after Monte-Carlo. Unfortunately Richard is not able to play so as not to defend the points he got last year for reaching the quarters. So Milos Raonic will be likely to trade places with him once more.
Richard commented “I only picked up the racket again on Tuesday, very steadily. But I’ve been in pain since yesterday and today, after 20 minutes of training, I couldn’t carry on. I could hardly even carry my bag. I thought things would be fine after 15 days without doing anything. But no, not at all.”
