Stefanos Tsitsipas has just reached the Rotterdam final after playing a great tournament. The Greek sensation also hit the headlines this week because he is playing this event with the coaching of Thomas Enqvist. Surprisingly, his father and longtime coach Apostolos is not with Stefanos.
Apostolos has been coaching Stefanos since the beginning of his brilliant career. However, the father-coach relationship has often been dysfunctional. Tsitsipas was hit by a series of warnings and fined during his last Australian Open because his father looks unable to refrain from coaching him during his matches.
Stefanos Tsitsipas says that his father Apostolos is still his primary coach.
Should Tsitsipas’ father still coach Stefanos?
After launching a poll on a popular Facebook group of Stefanos Tsitsipas, it seems that the vast majority of his fans believe that it would be better for the world number 4 to be coached only by Thomas Enqvist.
