Camila Giorgi has another illustrious victim in 2014 to beat world no. 16 (and seed no.2) Roberta Vinci in Katowice.
The young Italian had to rally from a set down to win a tricky tiebreak in the second set at 7. Then surprisingly Roberta imploded to be bagelled in the decider.
Vinci wasn’t the only big upset of the day as also seed no.8 Tsvetlana Pironkova lost to Shahar Peer 6-2 6-1.
