Andy Murray had good hopes to have a decent run at the recent Australian Open. However, his campaign in Melbourne ended as early as in the second round after she lost to the world number 114 Taro Daniel with a straightforward 6-4 6-4 6-4 scoreline.
Andy parted way with his previous coach Jamie Delgado before the Australian Summer to partner with the German coach Jan de Witt. At that time, Murray revealed:
“The decision is an important one for me because obviously I don’t know how much longer I’m going to be playing so I want to make sure that the person that ’s with me for the last period of my career is the right one.”
Murray was quite upset after crashing out from Melbourne so early to say:
“Making the second round of slams is not something I find extremely motivating. Not if I do what I did tonight too often this season.”
Eventually, Andy decided to end the trial period he started with de Witt. Apparently, Andy will play in both Doha and Dubai next month.
