Emma Raducanu became one of the most followed public figures in the UK after she conquered the US Open last September. However, Emma had to learn pretty fast what it means to be so popular.
Unfortunately, the British sensation revealed that she remained terrified by a stalker. According to reports, Amrit Magar, 35, visited her house 3 times. He left some “love notes” in her garden and he even decorated a Christmas tree in her garden.
In a statement, Emma wrote: “I received a notification on my phone from the Nest doorbell. It said someone was at the front of the house. I went outside and could see a male standing on the pavement. He began running away.”
Unfortunately, Emma conceded that she is not feeling safe in her own house.
“I feel like my freedom has been taken away from me. I am constantly looking over my shoulder. I feel on edge and worried this could happen again. I don’t feel safe in my own home, which is where I should feel safest,” she said.
Magar was found guilty of stalking on Friday and he will receive a sentence next month.
