COACHING. Tsitsipas slammed by umpire because of his father. Jannik Sinner next.

Once again, Stefanos Tsitsipas received a series of warnings for coaching after receiving tactical indications from his father Apostolos

Stefanos Tsitsipas And His Father

Stefanos Tsitsipas will face Jannik Sinner after a rather tough win over Taylor Fritz. The Greek sensation won the encounter in 5 sets, but he had a series of warnings for coaching from the umpire. Curiously, his father Apostolos couldn’t stop giving tactical hints to Stefanos also after his son received many warnings.

The umpire, Damien Dumusois said to Stefanos to ask his father to stop to avoid more violations. He said:

“It’s a great match, but if he keeps talking to you, I have to keep giving you a code.”

This is not the first time that Stefanos receives coaching violations as Apostolos is often quite agitated in the stands. Tsitsipas received also warnings for coaching in the previous match. This was his comment during the following press conference.
