We are at the 40th episode of the incredible rivalry and we really struggle in understanding who might be the favorite for the title in Miami (if any).

The case for Nadal

Well that comes straight from Nole that is impressed how Rafa is hitting the ball to comment “I have seen a couple matches of Rafa’s. He’s hitting the ball really well, feeling confident on this court. He’s never won this tournament, so I think that is extra motivation for him.”

The case for Djokovic

The argument comes from Nadal (!!!) that says that this is probably one of the best courts for Novak. The Serbian might have an extra motivation as we would be the only player with Roger Federer

to win Indian Wells and Miami back to back in the same year.

The favorite? Probably Rafa

Rafa leads 22-17 in head to head, but this doesn’t count much. Probably the Spaniard is the favorite as his tennis here in Miami seemed to be more solid than the Serbian. But who knows???

One think is for sure, after this final all 1000 ATP Masters will be held by either Rafa or Nole. Who said these two are not the dominant players anymore?
