Alexander Bublik is one of the most entertaining tennis players for how he interprets the game and his funny character. Before playing the first round in Adelaide, Sascha and his opponent were instructed by the umpire Greg Allensworth about the new rest break rules. Players now have not more than five minutes to use the bathroom and change clothes.
Tsitsipas and the toilet break
The rule was introduced after Stefanos Tsitsipas was widely accused of taking long toilet breaks to disrupt the rhythm of his opponents.
After the umpire outlined the new rules, Alexander Bublik couldn’t refrain from thanking Stefanos. Sascha said: “Thanks to Tsitsipas, huh? Stefanos, thank you!”
Chair umpire " Just a reminder we have a new "toilet break" rule "
Bublik: "Thanks to Tsitsipas, huh? Stefanos, thank you!" 😂
