Amanda Anisimova started the new season in the best possible way after she conquered the title of a WTA250 event that was staged in Melbourne. This was Amanda’s second career title and the first one after the tragic disappearance of her beloved father and longtime coach Konstantin.
After winning the title, Anisimova posted at lovely message thanking the people supporting her with a special thank to her father:

Ranked no.78, Anisimova played her last match on the 9th of January when she overcame world no.107 Aliaksandra Sasnovich 7-5 1-6 6-4 in the final in Melbourne to win her 2nd career title.
