Jenson Brooksby is one of the most interesting upcoming tennis players on the ATP tour. There were a lot of expectations on how he would have performed in 2022, but unfortunately, that will not happen in Australia after he tested positive for Coronavirus.
It was the young American to break the news with the following post:
“Hi everyone. Hope you are keeping well. Unfortunately, I have had to withdraw from the @australianopen. I was scheduled to fly out tomorrow but my coach and I tested positive for Covid this morning. It isn’t easy to miss a slam; there are many out there who have suffered worse so I can’t complain! I look forward to making my Aussie Open debut next year ! Stay safe -JT #AUSTRALIANOPEN”

LWWLWWW At the moment ranked no.56 (career-high), Brooksby played his last match on the 31st of October 2021 when he defeated world no.79 Roberto Carballes Baena 5-7 6-4 6-3 in the qualifications in Paris (draw).
Currently, during this season the American has managed to achieve a compiled 0-0 match record.
