Amanda Anisimova started her 2022 in the best possible way after winning the title in WTA250 in Melbourne. Emma looked to be in fantastic form for the entire week until everything ended up in glory after she defeated Aliaksandra Sasnovich 7-5 1-6 6-4.
Amanda is a former world number 21, but her ranking plummeted after struggling for a couple of years following the sudden death of her dissolved father and longtime coach.
After winning the tournament in Victoria, Amanda games 18 places in the live rankings to be the new world number 60.
