Becker is back to coach Djokovic in Miami. Is that the right thing?

Boris Becker has always been a rather controversial (and entertaining) figure. Taking this job as head coach with Nole makes him even more controversial!

Djokovic hired Becker at the beginning of the year with the idea of helping him from a mental point of view. Interesting enough from that moment on Djokovic started to struggle… from a mental point of view!

The world no.2 won the first tournament of the seasons “only” in Indian Wells when Becker was not present. The German is now back to coach Novak in Miami… many are wondering why…

Djokovic: People wonder if Boris should be there

Nole commented “People of course always question if Boris should be there or not be there, you know, now that Marian, first tournament he won the title with me, and Boris didn’t do that in Australia and Dubai.

But, look, it’s the start of the season. We are all working together as a team. It doesn’t make any difference now. Boris is the head coach and Marian respects that, I respect that, and we hope for success.”

We might be wrong, but it seems this partnership is not going to be as successful as the Murray/Lendl one.
