Novak Djokovic’s bid for his 21st slam ended in the worst possible way after his Visa was canceled following an incredible night in Melbourne. The Serbian champion received a controversial medical exemption to play the Australian Open. That prompted a strong reaction from many Australians and the local politicians did not miss the opportunity to step in. Novak was blocked on his arrival in Melbourne and not allowed to enter the country.

Unfortunately, after a long night, Australian prime minister Scott Morrison announced that Djokovic’s visa was canceled and therefore, he will be deported.

“Mr Djokovic’s visa has been cancelled. Rules are rules, especially when it comes to our borders. No one is above these rules. Our strong border policies have been critical to Australia having one of the lowest death rates in the world from COVID, we are continuing to be vigilant.”
