ATP Rankings: Federer world no.5 and inches from no.4. Inser in top 10

After a great fortnight Roger Federer is back to world no.5 and is going for more!

Reaching the final in Indian Wells gave +240 pts to Roger Federer that is now just 105 pts from surpassing world no.4 David Ferrer.

Actually it is rather possible that Roger will take over the world no.4 rank as David has to defend 600pts from last year’s final in Miami while Roger hasn’t play at all in Florida. So he might get there in a couple of week’s time.

John Isner

John had another  very good week to reach the semifinal in Indian Wells. This allowed him to overtake Tsonga (out from the top 10!), Raonic and Haas.

Dolgopolov

Alexandr had an exceptional start of the season and reaching the semis in Indian Wells allowed him to climb 8 positions and being ranked world no.23… more to come…

Rosol

Lukas has just won the Challenger in Irving to climb 9 positions and reach a world no. 38 rank

The Biggest gainer

Dominic Thiem from Austria has reached the third round in Indian Wells to climb 15 positions and get a 86 rank (career high).

The Biggest loser

Tha biggest loser was Adrian Manarrino. The Frenchman lost in the first round of Indian Wells so as not to defend the points he got the previous year by winning the challenger in Sarajevo. Adrian loses 14 places to be ranked world no.80.
