It is still not clear if Novak Djokovic will play the upcoming Australian Open. The Serbian sensation is notoriously against vaccination and he is widely believed (not confirmed) not to have taken any shot against the Coronavirus.
Will Djokovic play the Australian Open?
However, in order to play in Australia, all tennis players need to be vaccinated. Novak Djokovic was originally on the entry list of both the ATP Cup and the Australian Open. Unfortunately, the world number 1 decided to retire from the former and it is plausible that he will also miss the first slam of the year.
There are many contrasting reports on the subject. Many believe that Nole is waiting for a special exemption. In the meantime, Djokovic was spotted training in Marbella using the Australian Open balls.
He looks to be in fantastic form. Let’s hope that he will play and be fully vaccinated.
