Amanda Anisimova did not have a fantastic 2021. Her ranking plummeted (she is now number no.78), with the American player struggling to find her best tennis. However, Amanda has all the potential to bounce back in 2022. The 20-year-old was very close to breaking in the top 20 a couple of years ago, but she was stopped after the sudden and horrible death of her father and longtime coach.

LWWLLWLLLW Currently the world no.78, Anisimova played her last match on the 11th of October 2021 when she was defeated by Barbora Krejcikova 6-2 6-3 in the 3rd round in Indian Wells (draw).
Amanda will play her first tournament the upcoming week in Melbourne (a WTA250 event).
