Garbine Muguruza is one of the latest withdrawals at the WTA 500 that will be played in Adelaide . The Spanish sensation joins the following players who have also declined to play in South Australia: Karolina Pliskova, Belinda Bencic, Barbora Krejcikova, Jelena Ostapenko, and Ons Jabeur.

It is not clear what the reason is for Garbine to withdraw. Nevertheless, at this point, Ashleigh Barty, Aryna Sabalenka, Cori Gauff are probably the most interesting players to watch alongside US Open finalist Leylah Fernandez.
