Leylah Annie Fernandez is one of the strongest tennis players in the world and a great example for tennis fans and beyond. The Canadian player reached worldwide notoriety after her fantastic run at the 2021 US Open where she was the tournament runner-up.
Leylah spent her preseason in Florida preparing for 2022 training with her sister Bianca Jolie. The 19-year-old posted a lovely picture and message on Instagram for Christmas saying that she delivered some toys to Children stuck in the hospital with her sister.

Ranked no.24 (career-high), Fernandez played her last match on the 12th of October when she surrendered to world no.40 Shelby Rogers 2-6 6-1 7-6(4) in the 4th round in Indian Wells (draw).
At present, during this year Fernandez has achieved an overall 25-17 win-loss record. Leylah Annie clinched 1 title in Monterrey. The Canadian was the finalist at the U.S. Open.
