Emma Raducanu had a memorable season after winning the US Open coming from nowhere. The new British sensation caught the attention of her compatriots and fans all over the world, thanks also to her great personality and interesting background.
The 19-year-old clinched all sorts of awards in December. After winning the 2021 Sports Personality of the Year, Emma is now tipped by the Mirror to be on the New Year Honours list to be awarded an MBE alongside Daniel Craig.
If confirmed, Emma will be the youngest MBE recipient in history.

Like many other tennis players in Abu Dhabi, Emma was infected by the Coronavirus. Nevertheless, she will have enough time to recover and play in January. Raducanu is on the entry list of the WTA 250 that will be staged in Melbourne from the 3rd of January. Even if she is still relatively new to the tour, Emma is still considered among the top favorites to win the Australian Open.
