The former world number 1 is extremely comfortable playing on grass and a great point for him is that this specific surface is less taxing on his body. Therefore, it is not a surprise that he will try to be as fit as possible right before Wimbledon.
Andy Murray released a video announcing that he will play the Mercedes in Germany on grass. The event will be held from the 6th of June 2022. The defending champion is Marin Cilic who has defeated Felix Auger Aliassime in the final. Andy Murray is also expected to play at the Queen’s Club the week after.
