Finally Novak Djokovic had a solid match!

The world no.2 has been struggling for some time with his consistency to have scary ups and downs during his previous matches. That didn’t happen with Julien Benneteau. OK,  the Frenchman helped Nole a lot playing a rather lousy tennis, but still Djokovic was always there

The match ended after just 68 minutes. “I felt like I was very focused on the court from the start, and it’s what I was looking for,” said Djokovic . “First few matches I played good tennis but I had some ups and downs. Today was very stable from the first to the last point. He made a lot of unforced errors, and obviously I just needed to make him play an extra shot and serve well. I have done everything I wanted.”

The semis vs. Isner

Nole will play John Isner in the semi-final. The American has defeated Gulbis …”Isner’s style”, alia with a double tie break.

Head to head is 4-2 for Djokovic, but Isner is 2-1 on outdoor hard courts.
