
Emma Raducanu had a meteoric rise in 2021. After reaching the second week in Wimbledon, the British sensation won an incredible US Open title.
Things did not look so smooth for Emma. She also admitted she didn’t touch a racket for many months during the pandemic. Eventually, Raducanu needed to play competitions in order to have some chances to have good results during the year. Therefore, as reported by The Daily Mail, Emma had to pay a £25 entry fee to play her first tournament in May.
The event was a three-day tournament at the Connaught Club in Essex, part of the so-called British Tour, a domestic series for aspiring tour pros, academy juniors, and top county players.

Ranked world no.19 (career-high), the Brit played her last match on the 9th of November when she lost to world no.102 Xin Yu Wang 6-1 6-7(0) 7-5 in the 2nd round in Linz (draw).
This season Raducanu has a 25-9 match record. The Brit has won 1 title at the U.S. Open. Emma got to the final in Chicago.
