Nadal wins the Stefan Edberg sportsmanship award for the 5th time

Rafael Nadal is currently in Abu Dhabi, where he played the Mubadala World Tennis Championship. The Spaniard lost it to Andy Murray in the semi-final, but he can still be happy after he learned that he won the prestigious Stefan Edberg sportsmanship award for the 5th time.

Nadal commented:

“I can’t be happier to receive one more time the Sportsmanship Award from my colleagues on the Tour. It means a lot to me, so thanks a lot to every player that thinks that I am the right one to receive this award. Honestly, it means a lot to me because I try to be always correct on court,” he added.

Nadal will play his next event in Melbourne (an ATP event starting from the 3rd of January).
