Emma Raducanu became an international sensation after she won the US Open in September, starting her jorney from the qualifications. The British champion is extremely popular in the UK where she is the hot favorite to win the coveted BBC Sports Personality Award of the year 2021.
After winning the title in New York, Emma became the darling of many top brands and she keeps on being invited right and left to all sorts of events. Nevertheless, the nineteen-year-old remains grounded. During a recent interview, she revealed:
“I’m still taking the train and doing the same journeys. I feel like the exact same person and go about everything I used to do. I don’t see why I should change things. I’ve been a bit busy lately so I haven’t been able to hang out with my friends as much, but it’s just nice to have those conversations and go to the same places that you used to go. And I have my parents — who were telling me off yesterday morning, big time.”

Now ranked no.19 (career-high), the Brit played her last match on the 9th of November when she capitulated to world no.102 Xin Yu Wang 6-1 6-7(0) 7-5 in the 2nd round in Linz (draw).
This season Raducanu achieved a 25-9 match record. The Brit has won 1 title at the U.S. Open. The Brit reached the final in the Chicago.
